CARDIAC IMAGING

Cardiac imaging is a sub-specialty of radiology and covers a range of services which all capture images of your heart and heart valves. These images are captured using imaging techniques such as ultrasound, CT and nuclear medicine.

Your doctor may refer you for cardiac imaging for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Experience of chest pain
  • To diagnose heart disease or a heart condition
  • To examine the function and health of your heart and heart valves
  • To assess the effects of a heart attack or stroke.

X-Ray & Imaging provides a full range of cardiac imaging scans and tests. These include Holter Monitoring, Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring, Echocardiography and Myocardial Perfusion Studies.
